The Artist: Kara Manza
Kara Manza’s artwork is described as joyful. Her use of vibrant palettes, expressive brush strokes and a fanciful style have been influenced by her life of travel and adventure. She grew up in Port Huron, Michigan, attended the University of Michigan and married her college sweetheart, Bob, whom she has been married to for 37 years. Kara currently resides in Austin, Texas after being an elementary school teacher and enjoying an adventurous life as an expatriate for 13 years in Madrid, Spain; Monterrey, Mexico; Toronto, Canada; Mexico City, as well as living in Michigan, Texas (4 times!), Connecticut and California. Upon retirement, Kara began taking painting classes at The Contemporary in Austin, as well as with the Kara Bullock Art School and Melanie Morris Art.
