How it Works

Submit Your Photos

Begin by sending several favorite reference photos. Images with strong lighting and clear expressions often create the most compelling paintings. Kara will help select the reference that best captures the feeling and story you wish to preserve.

Select Your Canvas

When submitting your photos, choose your canvas size and style. You can pick a thinner 5/8" canvas for framing, or a thicker 1” - 2” canvas that doesn’t need a frame. If you choose the thicker option, let Kara know if you want the edges painted or finished with birch wood.

Make a Down Payment

A $100 down payment is required to begin the painting. Payments can be made via Venmo (@karamanzaart) or directly through the website.

Enjoy Your Custom Portrait

Your custom painting will be completed within 2-3 months depending on the season. Kara will provide updates.

A $100 down payment is required to begin the painting. You can make this payment through Venmo (@karamanzaart) or directly via my website. Below are the custom portraits prices. I will subtract the down payment from the prices shown below upon completion of the portrait.

8" x 8" portrait for"Brushstrokes with Humanity: 100 Faces -- $175, to be included in the March 20, 2027 gallery exhibit
5" x 7" (1 person) Figure Minis: $150; add $30 for one additional person
Impressionistic painting any size up to: 11”x14” or 12”x12” (1 person): $300; add $50 for each additional person (up to 4 people)

You can easily provide the details and photos needed for your custom painting by filling out our online intake form. This form allows you to upload your favorite images, select your canvas size, and share any specific preferences.
