MJ | A Moment of Wonder

Some childhood expressions are simply unforgettable.

With his striking blue eyes, tousled blond hair, and slightly parted lips, MJ seems caught in a moment of pure wonder. There is something captivating about his expression — curious, unguarded, and entirely his own.

In this original acrylic portrait, Kara Manza uses expressive brushstrokes, soft transitions of color, and warm golden tones to capture more than a likeness. The painting preserves one of those fleeting moments of childhood that families wish they could hold onto forever.

MJ’s portrait is especially meaningful to Kara, whose friendship with his grandmother adds a personal connection to the painting. Created alongside a portrait of his sister, Hazel, the two works celebrate the unique personalities and shared history of a brother and sister.

Part of Kara Manza’s A Hundred Faces collection, this custom children’s portrait transforms an everyday expression into a lasting family keepsake.
