Dr. Andrea Robbins Margeas — A Legacy of Strength

I first knew Andrea Robbins as a little girl in Port Huron, Michigan, when I taught her swimming lessons. Decades later, I would paint the accomplished woman she became—and the two remarkable sons she raised.

Andrew, a Princeton graduate, and Nick, a University of Michigan engineering graduate, have both gone on to build careers at SpaceX. Behind their extraordinary paths is a strong and devoted mother whose own life reflects the same intelligence, discipline, and determination.

Dr. Andrea Robbins Margeas, DDS, is a respected Port Huron dentist in private practice with Michigan Dental Group. She earned her degrees from the University of Michigan and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and continues her advanced education through the prestigious Kois Center program.

This original acrylic portrait is part of my A Hundred Faces: Brushstrokes of Humanity project. It honors an accomplished Michigan professional, an exceptional mother, and a connection that has come beautifully full circle—from childhood swimming lessons to three portraits preserving one family’s remarkable story.
