This painting represents that you are a beloved child of God. It also represents friendship throughout every season. I believe in the strength of womanhood and strived to pass this vision onto my daughters. This is why I selected words of empowerment and wisdom to include in the painting. I love the softness and tenderness of being a woman and at the same time, I love our strength and fortitude.
 
I have been creating this painting in my mind for over a year. Meanwhile, I’ve been collecting Olive and Cocoa catalogs and utilized the bodies from the magazine's cover because they are whimisical and inspire me. I changed the faces so girls could imagine their own friends and to make the painting more multi-cultural. 
 
My inspiration for this mixed media piece came from other female artists. Thank you emma_petitt_art, artists from @oliveandcoca, @kimschuesslerartist, and @triciarobinson for inspiring me. I also used several stencils from the wonderfully creative products of @stencilgirl_products.
