The Last Light is an original abstract painting from my Earth & Air Collection, capturing that brief moment when the horizon seems to hold onto the final light of day. Dusty rose stretches across the upper field, meeting a deep charcoal ground at an irregular edge of gold leaf that glows against the darker surface.
Broad, expressive brushwork keeps the composition quiet and spare, while the fractured gold introduces texture, movement, and changing reflections as light moves across the painting. The contrast of soft rose, dramatic charcoal, and metallic gold gives this contemporary abstract landscape both warmth and strength.
Framed in warm bronze, this small original abstract painting brings sophisticated color and a luminous focal point to a gallery wall, entryway, bookshelf, or collected interior.
